Hi my name is Austin Frye, and I’m writing a research paper on film production for my high school. I would like to use your site; to cite you appropriately, could you give me your full name and if this site is produced with any organization? Thanks.

Hi Austin – I’m the author of all the article content on this site, other than the visitor comments. In your references, please cite Jay Staudt and just use the title of the website, Indie Filmmaking.com, if you need to list an organization. You should be good to go with that information, but let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for your support!

Hi, just a quick note to say thank you for your website.
I am a total novice but love my films, to the point that I have just finished a 2 year acting course (aged 41). However my passion is to make my own short films starting witn a sci-fi, on a non-existent budget! Script has been written and your site has providied a wealth of advice. Thank you.

hi, this website has been very helpful,.. was just wondering if there is anything listed about connecting shots that follow the same action from different angles and making them look more smooth and seemless with one camera, without jumping or changing abruptly. when i take it into editing it doesnt seem to flow to well… could this be down to timing thx
