About
Hi, my name is Jay and I’m glad you’ve found Indie Filmmaking! I created this website to teach people who want to become better filmmakers to do what they love. Making videos and films has always been one of my biggest passions, and although I do it both professionaly and in my free time it has remained a favorite activity of mine – not just doing it myself, but showing others what I’ve learned along the way.
I’ll start off by telling you a little about myself. I have been producing, directing, editing, and occasionally starring in videos and short films for a little over a decade. I’m a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Multimedia Studies, and I currently work full-time as a professional Multimedia Developer for a nationally recognized architectural engineering firm.
At the office I get to take the role of project lead directing and producing hands-on video on a regular basis. In my spare time I produce short films with my video crew, the F4C. These guys are some of my closest friends. Working with them has been a benefit because it has exposed me to a wealth of their talent and ideas, while they benefit from my video equipment 🙂
We produce a comedy series called Bachelor Pad that you can check out here if you’re interested. We also have several other short films up on YouTube and Revver, but we put almost everything we do on the website at the link above.
Thanks again for visiting my website. I hope this place teaches you a lot about making videos and films. If you need anything or think of something that isn’t covered here, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do to help. That’s all for now – keep your lens caps off!

I wish to learn and have practical training, if possible and if so what will be the fees.
